Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu along with the Central Ministers Smriti Irani, Minister of Human resource development, Venkiah Naidu, Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Y Sujana Chowdary are going to lay the foundation stone for the Prestigious Indian Institute of Management IIM in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

A 538 acre land was allocated for the construction of IIM, Vizag at Gambheeram of Visakhapatnam along the National Highway 5. Andhra Pradesh government made all the required work to have the IIM start functioning from the first year of its sanction. Andhra University campus in the Vizag city to host the IIM Vizag classes from the year 2015 until the IIM campus construction finishes.

IIM is one among the 11 premium institutes sanctioned to Andhra Pradesh state, its the first foundation stone laying program of the 11, the next is IIT Tirupati planned to happen this month, but was delayed because of the election code in Tirupati.
