A medical plane crashed in a neighborhood. It caused a big explosion and fire. The plane was a Learjet 55. It was flown by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance. It had a sick child, her mom, and four people who worked on the plane. The plane fell near the Roosevelt Mall. This terrible event has made the community very upset. It shows why airplane safety is so important.
The Incident: A Plane Crashes and Burns
- What Happened: The Learjet 55 left Northeast Philadelphia Airport around 6:06 p.m. It quickly went off the radar. It crashed where Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard meet. This made a huge fireball. It set homes and cars on fire.
