Speaking here, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu has stated that the state government was rolling out the AP fibre grid project to connect every household and urged the industry to join hands with the state to make AP a digitally literate state.
Mr. Naidu also said that the state government is keen on adopting new technologies for better governance. Also, he said, “Focus is not only on literacy programme, but we want make everyone a digital literate. Compared to literacy, digital literacy is easy.” “We are also joining hands with ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) so that all our universities can be linked in the coming days,” he said. Further, he said, “We want to start incubation and innovation chapters in every high school and college. We want to have a society for innovation in each district so that the best innovations can be implemented.” He said innovations from district level can also be commercialised if they turn out to be viable. Naidu said the state government is working with the CII to start an institute for entrepreneurs in Amaravati soon.
He launched the website of ITAAP (Information Technology Association of Andhra Pradesh) during the summit. The ITAAP is a unified platform to represent companies from different parts of the state. Meanwhile, speaking at ETCIO summit, IT advisor JA Chowdary said a block chain institute of technology will be set up in Vizag soon.
