CBN BRINGS HERO MOTORS TO ANDHRA PRADESH.

Hero Motor Corporation to set up its 2 wheeler manufacturing factory in Andhra Pradesh. It’s the 6th plant of Hero in India and first in south India. Soon after Hero came up with expansion plans, AP govt approached Hero with proposals. CM got in talks with Pawan Munjal, CEO of Hero Motocorp and requested him to set up the 6th unit of Hero Motors in Andhra Pradesh.

AP CM’s tweet triggered competition and Telangana CM KCR and his team offered Hero with the natural advantage of the Hyderabad ecosystem and the connectivity factors. Joining them, the Karnataka govt allotted land for Hero to set up industry and announced incentives making the fight tougher.

After close to 3 months of competitive approach, AP won the race when Mr.Chandrababu Naidu met Mr.Pawan Munjal in person and explained his vision for the state of Andhra Pradesh and how Hero would benefit with the Mega Infra upgrades that AP is coming up with while announcing the required incentives for the company.

Hero is setting up its 6th manufacturing unit in Sri City of Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The cabinet allotted a 600 Acre land for the factory.Hero will invest Rs 2,200 crore, will provide direct employment to 6,000 people and an indirect employment for another 3,000 people. Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between Hero Motors and Sri City promoters tomorrow finalizing the set up.
